In January of 2025, Brown Brothers Harriman, an investment bank, produced their “Private Business Owner Survey.” They interviewed 400 private business owners who own firms generating between $50 million to over $1 billion. That revenue range is almost a perfect overlap with our members, so that makes their findings even more compelling. You’re not going to believe what they found!

Please tune in this week as Wayne reveals their rather shocking survey results and laments that even after all the decades of education, public speeches, books, articles in the financial press, webinars, etc., the privately owned business community hasn’t moved the needle very much at all! Do these survey results strike you as accurate? What are your reactions? Please email Wayne at [email protected] and let him know your thoughts.

The seats are selling fast for our upcoming class of The Contractor Business Boot Camp. It is a comprehensive uniquely designed leadership development program where we aim to prepare your rising high-potential leaders for running a successful construction company by giving them the opportunity to learn the key leadership skills they will need from industry experts and peers alike. If you haven't yet enrolled your future leaders to this program, do it now (before we run out of seats!). The class begins on May 14, 2025 in Raleigh, NC. Contact Charlotte at [email protected] for more information.
