Did you know that companies spend about $60 billion (that’s billion with a B!) per year on leadership development? That’s an astounding figure! And leadership development professional Neena Newberry writes plenty of that money is wasted – or, at least, it doesn’t produce the ROI people ought to expect.

Please tune in this week as Wayne dissects Newberry’s accounting of mistakes companies make in the training of future leaders. While he does agree with her first four points, he is much more skeptical of number five. And he is in strong agreement about the necessity of taking training from theory into “everyday application.” What do you think? Do companies get less than they should for their training and development dollars? What has worked well for you? Please share your comments with us via email at: [email protected].
